THE SUBSTATION
Housed in a repurposed electrical substation, The Substation is a veritable hotspot of arts and culture within Melbourne’s industrial western suburbs. Working with artists from multiple disciplines, and with an established series of residencies and creative development, The Substation presents a broad and engaging program of contemporary art. Moreover, by taking its name from the gritty former substation, and by encouraging exhibiting artists to engage with the history of the space, The SUBSTATION works to explore and preserve Melbourne’s industrial heritage. For The SUBSTATION we create short-form clips which promote its upcoming programming in a dynamic, engaging fashion.
